Flooding Kills 14 People in China

Flooding In China - Floods that occurred in China caused 14 people were killed and 35 others were missing. Flooding also caused the streets and thousands of homes were destroyed.

Approximately 45 thousand residents in the area Wangmo, Guizhou Province were evacuated due to Flooding this directly. While the other three thousand people reportedly still can not be evacuated due to high water. So reported Xinhua on Tuesday (07/06/2011).

Besides killing 14 people, reported 35 people remain missing. While water is also causing damage to approximately 300 homes and 2400 other drowned. Approximately 5500 hectares of farmland damaged by floods are likely.

According to China's flood control officials, the high water is also causing disruption in electricity and water supplies. Disorders also occur in telecommunications services in several cities in the Region Wangmo.

Flooding also caused damaged roads and bridges. While 500 cars found heavily damaged by the floods washed away. Local authorities said the floods are still submerge 11 cities in Guizhou Provinis since 3 June.
