Mubarak tried in Police schools

Cairo - former President Hosni Mubarak will be tried for charges of ordering soldiers to shoot demonstrators in the Court of Cairo Police Academy, said the Court of appeal of the country, Friday (7/30/2011).

The Court will open on Wednesday (3/8/2011) and place "to Police Academy in Al-MASR el Gedida" North of Cairo for security reasons, said the head of the Court, Abdel Aziz Omar.

"They have finally decided that the trial of former President Hosni Mubarak, his son Alaa and Gamal, runaway businessman Hussein Salem, a former Minister of the Interior al-Adly and six acolytes Habib will be held on 3 August, at the headquarters of the Police Academy of MASR al-Gedida," said Omar sebagaimaa was quoted by the State MENA news agency.

Before the official of the Ministry of Justice Mohammed manna told the news agency MENA that the trial will take place in "the General Authority for investment" and the free trade area in the complex Cairo Expo.

But Omar said that police Academy will be the location of the test was "because it is difficult to guarantee protection to other locations.

Mubarak, fell in February by the uprising of the people, was arrested at the hospital in the city of Sharm el-Sheikh on the Red Sea, where he was treated for his heart disease.

He is accused of having ordered the murder of demonsran anti-regime in upheaval, where 850 people were killed, abused power to obtain funds from the unauthorized people and waste.

Minister of justice said Mubarak will likely be executed if found guilty on charges of murder.
