Got a grandson, Conglomerates share money

HONG KONG - Hong Kong property tycoon Lee Shau Kee promised to share a bonus of $ 2 million or equivalent to Rp17, 1 billion more (Rp8582 per dollar) to 1500 employees. Bonuses are given after the birth of the millionaire grandson of the sixth.

Kee announced it will provide 'windfall' by 10 thousand Hong Kong dollars or equivalent to Rp11 million (Rp1101 per Hong Kong dollar) for each employee. Sixth grandson of chairman of a leading property company, Henderson Land Development was born last week.

"We will accept money at the end of this month," said company spokeswoman Bonnie Ngan told AFP on Wednesday (22/06/2011). Lee has a fortune estimated at USD19 billion. Thanks to the wealth, Lee was named the 28th richest businessman in the world according to Forbes magazine.

83-year-old entrepreneur has five children. Sixth grandchild was born from a family his youngest son, Martin, who is married to actress Cathy Chui. It is not yet known names grandson Lee. Previously, the couple already has two daughters.

This is not the first time Lee expressed delight with the 'split' the money for its employees. In October last, when his eldest son, Peter gave her grandchildren, she also gave a bonus of 10 thousand dollars in Hong Kong.
