Earthquake (6.1 SR) Hit Panama

PANAMA - An earthquake measuring 6.1 Richter scale (SR) rocked the region off the coast of Panama. There is no danger of tsunami warning after an earthquake occurs.

As reported by the Associated Press, Saturday (30/04/2011), the earthquake occurred on Saturday morning local time. There are no reports of injuries or damages caused by this earthquake.

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake was centered approximately 385 kilometers southwest of Panama City.

USGS also said that the central depth of the earthquake was located approximately 2.8 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean.
