Ecuador Raises Alert Status

Quito - Ecuador to increase its status becomes idle after the Tungurahua volcano spewed hot ash back.

As reported by the BBC, Tuesday (27/04/2011), clouds of hot ash that had soared up to 7 km.
Authorities also had to evacuate to the residents who live around the mountain and closed schools.

Mount Tungurahua during the period of 12 years was always broke, but this time the eruption is the most significant activity this year.

Supervisors said that the volcano has erupted six times the mountain.

"According to our observations, the crop and pasture damage, the residents were now experiencing the health effects due to volcanic ash," the institute said in a statement geofisikia Ecuador.
