TOKYO - Tokyo Electric Power Company (Tepco), Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant operator, will send two remote-controlled robots into the reactor building damaged by the explosion of hydrogen to measure radiation levels and temperatures there.

The emergency workers struggled to stabilize the temperature of the reactor since the earthquake and tsunami affected can not yet entered the reactor building since the disaster occurred.

The explosion damaged the roof of the structure outside the building where the reactor is located. The explosion occurred due to accumulation of hydrogen reacts with oxygen in the air a few days after the earthquake.

A spokesman from Tepco said two American-made robot will enter the reactor building number three on this day to examine radiation, temperature, humidity and oxygen levels. Similarly, as reported by AFP on Sunday (04/17/2011).

Radiation from the heated reactor has spread into the air, land and sea. This led the government applied exclusion zone around the nuclear power plant in Fukushima Prefecture. This disaster also destroyed the fishing industry and agriculture Fukushima.

Meanwhile, Tepco announced plans to control the situation at the NPP. They said it would resolve the nuclear crisis within six to nine months in advance and allow residents back into their homes each.
