2 Militants Killed in a Philippines shootout

MANILA - Two members of the Philippine militant known to have links with terrorist network Al Qaeda, was killed in a firefight in the southern Philippines.

This shootout occurred in the province of Basilan where the militants last week bombing of a house.
Basilan Provincial Military Commander Col. Alex Macario said, before the Philippine soldiers in ambush crossfire terori 15 members of Abu Sayyaf in the village of Al-Barka.

Clashes between Philippine troops and Abu Sayyaf group was also not inevitable. Two Abu Sayyaf militants were confirmed dead in this battle. So reported AFP on Saturday (04/16/2011).

While in the Philippines army ensured there was no victim at all. So far, the Abu Sayyaf militant group is often made chaos in the southern Philippines. This group wants secession in Southern Philippines from the current government.
