Turkey Explore The Opening of Taliban in Istanbul

ANKARA - Turkish exploring the opening of the Taliban political office in the capital city of Istanbul. This plan was revealed by the testimony of people close to Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

"This is being negotiated now," said Ibrahim Kalin aide of Prime Minister Erdogan, was quoted as Hurriyet newspaper on Friday (15/04/2011).

Turkey to host meeting aimed to build trust between Pakistan and Afghanistan, previously has ensured will open a diplomatic representation for the Taliban. This is done to help the settlement talks war in Afghanistan.

Pakistan is participating in this discussion process, supports the plan the opening of this Taliban representatives. So far, there are many parties argued that all forms of settlement-related issues require the approval of the Pakistani Taliban.

Proposed establishment of the Taliban when it came to light last trilateral meeting in December between Turkey, Afghanistan and Pakistan in Istanbul. During the meeting, Afghan President Hamid Karzai ensure that the country received any decision from this meeting.

But the opening of the representative for the Taliban is not without opposition. Former Afghan Foreign Minister Abdullah Abdullah said, opening a representative means helping legitimize a terrorist group.
