Worried Radiation, Refugees Expelled from Fukushima nuclear power plant

KITAKAMI - The people who were evacuated from around the Fukushima nuclear power plant was expelled from the evacuation centers because of fears they will contaminate other refugees with radiation.

Those who lost their homes due to the nuclear crisis in Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plants are required to have a government certificate that proves they are not contaminated before allowed into the evacuation center.

Radiation testing facilities into a checkpoint that determines whether someone is allowed to enter the refugee camps or to the health center, although the experts say, displaced persons do not pose a risk to others.

"Except for workers in nuclear power plants, ordinary people do not carry the danger of radiation. People react too much, unfortunately this could cause discrimination, "says the health services division of Fukushima Prefecture, Kosuke Yamagishi was quoted as saying by AFP on Wednesday (13/04/2011).

Meanwhile, an eight-year-old girl who takes care of skin problems due to the hospital in Fukushima rejected because they do not have a certificate of inspection.
