British Ambassador Gaddafi Son Denies Writing Thesis

Saif Khadafi
LONDON - British Ambassador to the United States (U.S.), Sir Nigel Sheinwald denied claims that he helped the son of Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi, completing a thesis for a doctorate in English.

Parties to the Foreign Office confirmed that Sir Sheinwald was met with Seif al-Islam Gaddafi, when he was still studying at the London School of Economics (LSE). But Sir Sheinwald certainly did not help write a thesis of Seif.

Previously The Daily Mail quoted a senior Seif at LSE who claimed that Sheinwald expressed interest in the subject taken by Seif and offer assistance to his thesis.

Sources from the British tabloid says that the assistance offered by Shienwald the informal nature and legitimate.

"Seif using its vast network to ensure that his thesis to get a high value and satisfying," said the Daily Mail on Saturday (04/02/2011).

Parties British ministry also issued a rebuttal of this assistance."Sir Nigel Sheinwald was met Seif Gaddafi when he was still studying at the LSE," said British Foreign Ministry spokesman.

"But Sir Nigel has no role at all in writing a thesis on it, or give suggestions and changes from the thesis that," said the British foreign ministry spokesman.
