92 Year-old grandmother, Wins Marathon

Celebration Gladys Burrill When Has Passed the Finish Line
Honolulu - Gladys Burrill (92), a grandmother from Honolulu, Hawaii, which is still able to carve his performance in old age.

Gladys, who is often called "Gladyator" It just got the certificate from Guinness World Records as the oldest man to complete the marathon trek along the 26.2 miles in 9 hours 53 minutes.

Hawaii House of Representatives also paid tribute to her by giving her a certificate and a special celebration for him.

At 86 years old, grandmother Burrill also never run a marathon race to break the record. But his performance was prevented by Jenny Wood-Allen from Scotland who is 90 years old, as reported by the Telegraph, Thursday (4/7/2011).

As he opened the secret of staying fit in old age, Burrill grandmother told me that she routinely walked along the 45 miles every week.

"With regular exercise, the mind will always be fresh," he said.

In addition to regular exercise, other Burrill grandmother secret is to always think positive.

"It's very important to think positively. Because it's very easy for people to despair,"

"It can make such a difference in how you feel and look at something," he said.

Overall, he had completed the five-race marathon in Honolulu.
