CALIFORNIA - The state of California in the United States is considering making a new lesson that learning the 'roles and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender in America'. This is based on the idea of Senator D Mark Leno of San Francisco is proposing revisions to the social science textbooks to include the study of the role and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans.
Members of Parliament from the Democratic Party is reviving plans for schools to teach the contributions of minorities. They rekindle the movement stalled for five years. After Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger of the Republican Party stopped, legislators and gay activists would get this opportunity.

Each school will determine which age groups are studying this. Senator Leno stated, the proposal aims to educate young people who interfere with gays. In a meeting at the legislature recently, Leno mentioned the name of Seth Walsh, 13-year-old student from Tehachapi who committed suicide after being bully by his friends who are anti-gay at school, last year.
Some high school students who like the same sex welcome the efforts of Leno. This would indicate that the non-heterosexuals contribute significantly to the U.S..
Meanwhile, members of the council of the Republic strongly oppose this proposal. Senator Bob Huff said in an education committee meeting, this will train the children in early childhood about sensuality. California Curch Impact is also against this. Board members have been flooded with letters from groups opposed to including the California Catholic Conference, the First Southern Baptist Church, and Thousand Oaks Christian Fellowship.
