Beans Imported from Japan Contaminated Radiation

TAIPEI - Taiwan authorities claim to find the radiation from beansimported from Japan. However, the amount of radiation they are determined to not endanger human health.

The discovery of radiating green beans is the first time found fromcommodity materials imported from Japan. Previously the Government of Japan to find radiation on spinach and milkproduced from a nuclear power plant complex Fukushima, thusreported by the Associated Press, Sunday (03/20/2011).

After more than a week the case of radiation contamination offoodstuffs began to be found in Japan. But the Japanese government still has not provided information regarding this.
According to Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano, contaminated milkwas found in Fukushima Prefecture, where the nuclear power plantis located. While spinach is exposed to radiation found in IbarakiPrefecture.

Edano said the Ministry of Health has ordered the authorities atboth the prefecture to investigate where these products came from,how the product is distributed, and based on the findings, sales ofthese products must be stopped.
Edano urged consumers to remain calm. He noted althoughconsumers already drinking contaminated milk, levels of radiationwould be comparable to the one-time CT scan.
